As we approach the end of another remarkable year we reflect on the successes and growth we have experienced as a school community. We have a tapestry of diverse talents and 2023 has been filled with achievements, celebrations, and meaningful events that truly reflect the spirit of unity and excellence that defines our school.
Congratulations to Year 12 who have completed their HSC exams. We continued our extraordinary HSC successes; a summary of these include:
- Being placed 120th of all Secondary schools in the state (up 43 places compared to 2022 results), which is the 3rd highest result in schools history! Our English faculty placed 47th in NSW and our Maths placed 62nd. This is based on Advanced and Extension classes - such impresive results!
- Our Dux ATAR was Steven Nguyen with a mark of 99.45!
- We achieved two 5th place state rankings! This includes: Steven Nguyen in Visual Arts; and Dylan Truong in Retail Services
- 25 students achieved a 90+ ATAR, including 12 over 95
- Seven students achieved an 98+ ATAR. Congratulations to Steven Nguyen, Andy Chung, Jason Ho, Jacky Tran, Jayden Lay, Jason Tang and Tyson Pham
- We had 53 distinguished achievers. They can be viewed here
- We had all rounders (Achieved Band 6 in all courses). Congratulations to Steven Nguyen, Andy Chung, Jacky Tran, Jayden Lay, Jason Tang, Tyson Pham, and Kevin Nguyen
Over the past few years, our teachers have been working hard improving their practice in the HSC. Our School Plan is focused on the HSC High Leverage Strategy, a NSW public school startegy to lift student achievement in the top HSC bands. We have consistent trend data improvements across Bands 4, 5 and 6. Congratulations to students and teachers alike!
