Prairiewood High School runs an Extended Studies program, targeting senior students. The program runs Monday afternoons when most senior students have free periods and after school each Wednesday afternoon. There is a dedicated teacher assigned to each of these time slots and students are supported to complete Assessment tasks, classwork or individual study.
Attendance at this program is compulsory for students who have been issued with a warning of N-determination; however, all students are welcome to attend to receive support with their academic endeavours.
The Senior Study program was created as an innovative way to support senior students when they are not in a timetabled class. Students are free to choose to work on an assigned task or individual study.
Please see one of the staff in the Library to find out more about the program.
