Year 12 Early Entry to UOW opens August 1, 2019

The University of Wollongong has a new Early Admission procedure. If you want the opportunity to get an offer to uni not based on your ATAR...read on.

·         Students apply directly to UOW via our Early Admission page

·         UOW Early Admission is open from 9am, 1st August and closes 5pm 30th August.

·         Students can apply for two courses and a double-degree counts as one course. The only course not available via Early Admission in the Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation

·         All the UOW courses will be listed in the application system for students to select.

·         Students completing a Year 12 HSC will not need to enter any marks. When they register they will put in their NESA student number, this will allow the Early Admission system to access their Year 11 results directly from NESA

·         Students will then have to answer four personal statements which allows the student to tell UOW more about themselves and allows UOW faculty staff to assess the student using our indicators of success. The UOW indicators of success are: academic readiness; motivation and passion; communication and collaboration, planning and persistence.

·         The four questions are:

1.       What are your study strategies for the HSC exams?

2.       Why do you want to study at UOW?

3.       Describe a time when you worked with others to achieve a goal

4.       How do you manage your time around your studies and other activities? Include three strategies that you’ve used in Year 12 to prioritise tasks and organise your time.

·         Each question requires minimum 100 characters, maximum 500 characters. Dot points are fine.

·         Within the application, Students can also indicate if they have experienced any personal hardship or if they have a disability/illness.

·         Once applications are submitted, after 30th August, assessment will take place and students will be sent communication with next steps in mid-September

·         Applicants will be invited on campus for one of the UOW Early Admission Days on 30 September - 4 October 2019.

·         Early Admission Day at the Liverpool campus will be on 3rd October

·         Applicants will be required to book in for a 2-hour time slot on one of these dates.
