Accelerated Reader Program

A great initiative by the school library for Year 7 students. This engaging program encourages students to read for pleasure while developing essential skills across the curriculum, including comprehension, vocabulary expansion, critical thinking, and writing skills.

Here’s how it works:

1. Students’ reading ability is assessed through the Star Reading test, providing them with personalised reading range and target.

2. Student can explore books within their reading range, take quizzes, and earn points based on their performance.

3. These points accumulate until they reach their target goal.

4. Students are encouraged to read at home for at least 20 minutes.

Reading daily is crucial for the success of this program.

Parents, your support is essential! Encourage your children to make reading a daily habit and watch them grow as confident readers.

Let’s inspire our young readers to embrace the joy of reading.
