At Prairiewood High School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs include:

Our co-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and Performing Arts
The PHS Choir participated in "In Concert" organised by the Arts Unit. Students learnt challenging repertoire ranging from Mozart's infamous Requiem, to contemporary choral works by Australian composers Whitwell, Byrne and Walker. Students performed at the Sydney Opera House among 800 singers from across 40 different secondary schools. The concert was an inspiring celebration
Work Ready Qualfications
Prairiewood High School offers programs focused on practical learning experiences, including career exploration, workplace communication, and hands-on training. These programs aim to build students’ confidence, employability, and readiness for further education. Examples include:
RSA, First Aid training, White Card training, Barista Courses, SBAT opportunities and Start your Future TAFE Taster
