Wellbeing

Prairiewood High School’s Wellbeing faculty is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can connect, succeed and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. At the centre of this commitment is our dedicated Wellbeing Hub, a welcoming space offering tailored support and resources that meet the diverse needs of our students.

Our comprehensive wellbeing curriculum delivers age-appropriate lessons on mental health awareness, resilience, emotional intelligence, healthy relationships, and digital wellbeing, integrated into the school timetable to develop essential life skills. Alongside the curriculum, we offer workshops, individual counselling, peer support initiatives, and group activities to empower students in building coping strategies, resilience and a positive mindset to enhance a sense of belonging.

Supported by our three Student Support Officers, Community Liaison Officers, and a Wellbeing Nurse, our team provides personalised care and connects families with vital health and community services. Prairiewood High’s holistic approach ensures every student feels valued, heard, and cared for equipping them to succeed with confidence and resilience.
