Prairiewood High School proudly boasts its own farm! Animals on the farm include: cows, sheep, pigs, chicken, turkeys and our farm dog, Jack!
All students have the opportunity to engage in Agricultural lessons on the farm, where they learn animal care and husbandry amongst a range of livestock.
This occurs within the Agriculture & Food unit of the Manadatory TAS (Technology & Applied Studies) for year 7 and 8 students. Year 9 & 10 students may elect to study Agriculture, Agrifood Operations (VET) and Industrial Technology - Farm Maintenance. Year 11 and 12 students can extend their VET study, by participating in the Primary Industries course.
